• Practice
• Understand roles of all people on the project
• Establish what musicians are playing what parts (no tantrums!)
• Establish what person or group is responsible for the creative aspects of the session
• Establish a final decision-maker
• Treat yourself right
• Avoid undue stress before a session
• Baby your instrument
• Singers avoid straining your voice by yelling or smoking or drinking
• Players avoid unjury or strain of your hands and arms (and feet for drummers)
